| This neglected late 1800s Victorian had survived several
Mill Town families over the century and had severe structural problems
when we discovered it. The main problem with the curb appeal was the
front porch, which had been altered over the years. We met extensively
with Atlanta's Historic Design Commission to get approval for our
design. We used 100 year old porch posts, Victorian spindlework, and
gingerbread to bring back the curb appeal of this beautiful home.
We restored the rare Eastlake style front door, added a new roof,
completed extensive foundation work, and painted it a rich velvety
aubergine with green sashes and creamy trim. |
