This old Victorian got completely restored including a complete restoration of the once simple kitchen. We recycled the original cast iron sink with drain-board, installed black granite countertops, pendant lights, and a slate floor. The island was maple as well, in a natural color instead of the honeyed stain of the main cabinetry and topped with Venentino honed marble, perfect for rolling out dough or baking cookies. We installed a tumbled black marble backsplash behind the counters for subtle luxury.
