Upscale Farmhouse

This grand, gorgeous farmhouse style kitchen was inspired by Craftsman design. Note the firehouse red island as a focal point. Part of a new construction house, the kitchen's timeless appeal is achieved with flush inset doors and drawers. While the appearance is classic, the technology is all modern: professional grade appliances, and soft-close, hydraulic doors and drawers.

The distressed red island is topped with three-inch thick heart pine in a breadboard design. The pine was salvaged from demolished Atlanta home's beams.

 

This kitchen contains many useful storage options, including pull-out shelving in the pantry, hidden spice cabinets flanking the stove, and deep drawers for plates.
