This vast 1925 Craftsman bungalow (three-four bedrooms, two baths) is located in the historic Edgewood neighborhood. This is a grand bungalow with wide open spaces, four fireplacaes, high ceilings, original fireplace tiles, and that coveted center hallway. Added to that, the upstairs is an original master suite, complete with heart of pine flooring and a bathroom on the upper landing. Click here to see the Merlin floorplan-it's a wonderfully large house, just under 2000 sq. ft. of living space.

Edgewood was just approved for a multi-million dollar development that will boast a Lowe's, Target, Publix, and many other businesses and residential living spaces. Click here to read more about Edgewood, including development plans. This neighborhood will be skyrocketing in value.

This renovation began with intensive structural work - rebuilding many floor joists, supporting the floors, re-supporting the roof, adding engineered LVL beams that span the entire upstairs, re-masoning the foundation, and creating a much tighter, stronger structure. We then added all new systems (including copper plumbing, electrical, and dual system HVAC), insulated the entire exterior, and roofed the house with 30-year black, architectural shingles. Once the backbone of the house was in great shape, we turned our attention to the details and finish work, which you can see on the tour below.

A large rocking chair front porch harkens back to a simpler time. You can imagine yourself sipping drinks and entertaining out here. The porch features original detailed Corinthian columns and Craftsman details, like this slag glass fixture.

We designed Arts & Crafts stained glass transoms based on an old pattern to grace the living room's triple bay window, the front door surround, and the front bedroom. All pieces match, with the door transom showing off the "1212" of the house numbers. Sidelights with the same themed glass finish the look. Local craftsmen made both the custom pine panels and the stained glass.

This bedroom features an antique tiger oak mantel, an Italian marble fireplace tile, and a black cast iron fireplace surround. The antique brass chandelier is a rewired and refinished fixture from the 1920's, as are most of the light fixtures in the house.

Up the gracious staircase is a full bathroom also in marble and featuring our signature double shower heads. An antique Craftsman window has been installed high up in the shower to ensure privacy, but allow you to look at the clouds as you luxuriate. A pedestal sink and antique medicine cabinet add warmth and class.

The upstairs master bedroom is huge! The end of the room has a set of high end wood double windows (Pozzi brand) and dual closets. We've added two skylights as well to flood the space with sunlight. There are endless possibilities for furniture arrangement and enough room for both a bedroom space and a sitting room space.
